This is where I’ll share news of my writing, glimpses behind the scenes and some of the discoveries that send me happily wandering down historical rabbit holes. My debut novel, The Catcher Man, is complete and now undergoing editing.

It begins a planned trilogy following the Dalton family through colonial Australia. For now, though, I’m back at the beginning of the first book, working through the edits. There is something slightly inconvenient about reaching “The End” and discovering how much work remains. Still, it’s a chance to look again at the people I’ve spent so long writing about, and make sure their story reads as well on the page as it does in my head.
